Formed in 1972, the band enjoyed their greatest success with ‘Making Plans For Nigel’ (1979), ‘Generals & Majors’ (1980) and ‘Sgt Rock’ in early 1981. ‘Senses Working Overtime’ was their highest charting single in both England and Australia in 1982 where it placed #10 and #12 respectively. i hadn’t listened to this track for decades, but it was on a USB stick given to me by a good friend of mine, and I am scouring for hits from 40 years ago and this one is exactly that. With their main output being between 1977 and 1999, XTC are best known though for these 80’s gems.
