Spartan Stadium, Michigan State University – East Lansing, MI

Here I was in East Lansing, Michigan at Michigan State University and Spartan Stadium.

East Lansing is located 55 miles from Ann Arbor, MI where I had just come from visiting “The Big House”. And I’ll say this right here right now, just from checking out the exteriors of both stadiums…I appreciated Spartan Stadium a lot more, lol.

When I was visiting this past summer in 2021, for me, this was the perfect perspective for recording a video.

This was the main entrance area to the complex. I was able to get as close as possible with my camera stand and lens while capturing the entirety of Spartan Stadium.
This view was from one of the end zone areas.

I was standing in the parking lot in late afternoon and had the sun at my back which allowed for clear and efficient picture taking moments with no one around.

Also, off to the left hand side…looking at Spartan Stadium horizontally, that was another cool opportunity to grab a few photos from being here at Michigan St.

I did walk around all of Spartan Stadium (like I do at all the sports venues I visit) and the opposite section to where I was recording this and off to the right hand side….weren’t any better in terms of being more photogenic or worthwhile. It’s either here or towards the left where I believe you’ll feel satisfied witnessing what this place is all about.

And…I know I’m just here walking about. It would be wonderful to attend an actual game and I hope at some point in the future and down the road I’ll be able to do that. But for now, and along my 2021 road trip…I’ll take what I can get, lol.

But yes, at least here at Spartan Stadium they feature some cool signage and colorful symbols of the green and white team Spartan colors, whereas Michigan University had a very plain and ordinary classic looking brick appearance, as best I can describe.

So I give the edge to Sparty, lol….but if I had to attend a game for the setting and atmosphere, I’d still choose Big Blue!

Lastly, on my journey throughout the state of Michigan…it was nice and I was satisfied coming to Michigan and Michigan State Universities because ultimately I’m a huge college football fan and also because they were conveniently located on my pathway towards Empire, MI and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Alright….this is me. I did it. I made it to East Lansing, MI….home of Spartan Stadium at Michigan State University!
