This Flashback Friday Football match-up features a back-and-forth nailbiter that went into overtime between the Creekside Knights and the Bolles Bulldogs. The Knights’ receiver Jack Goodrich muscled through a blockade of Bulldogs to lead off the scoring early in the first. In the second, The Bulldogs capitalized on a Creekside fumble at the 15-yard line to even things up at 7 apiece. Following the Knights’ QB Daniel Plummer’s scramble play, Preston Strope carried in another touchdown just before the half to give the Knights a 14-7 lead.

The dazzling defense of the Bulldogs was on display as Spencer Surface intercepted a pass and ran it 44 yards for another Bolles touchdown. The Knights were up against that wall of Bolles at the goal line and had to settle for a Andrew Daragjati field goal to take back the lead 17-14. The Knights and Bulldogs exchanged touchdowns on the ensuing plays to go into the fourth with the Knights up 24-21 on the Bulldogs.

A fourth quarter field goal by the Bulldogs’ kicker Pasa Pordelli tied the game 24-24, setting up an overtime faceoff with both teams getting their shot at sealing the win from the 10-yard line. Creekside’s QB Daniel Plummer made the connection to get the first score, but the Bulldogs were left in the doghouse after a heartbreaking endzone miscue.
