Sand Creek High School senior Nikki Derrell broke the girls’ basketball all-time three-point scoring record and also broke the record for the number of three-point scores in a single game this season.
In her four years at SCHS, Derrell has played 86 games, scoring 1,325 points, averaging 15.4 points a game (as of press time). She recently broke the single-game three-point record this past Saturday at Cheyenne Mountain High School, shooting nine times from the three-point line for 27 points.
Derrell will attend Saint Xavier University in Chicago this fall on an academic and athletic scholarship, where she will major in computer science while playing on the women’s basketball team.
