Measurables: 6’6”, 275 lbs / 4.82 40-time/ 35 5/8” arm length / 86” wingspan
Stats: 7 sacks in back-to-back seasons as well as at least 13.5 TFL
He can do it multiple ways
– Can rush the pass standing up
– In 3 technique
– Outside or inside on the DL
He doesn’t have the most bend, but he makes up for it with quickness, a high football IQ, power and his hand usage
He can play in any scheme 3-4 or 4-3 due to his versatility and ability to rush the passer both standing and in 3 technique
He also is great in run coverage as well. He can read RPOs and his length makes him a nightmare for opposing DOCs
Teams that could use him
– Anyone in the NFL, in all seriousness, every team in the Top 8 could use him
– Not every team in the Top 8 will target him because they need a QB (Texans, Colts, Panthers and maybe Raiders)
Arizona Cardinals at #3 – its as easy as they need to find someone that can hopefully take over for JJ Watt and Zach Allen is a FA
Seattle Seahawks at #5 – Talk about a luxury pick, thinks Broncos. In all seriousness, the Seahawks lack a pass rush, you could argue Bruce Irvin was their best pass rusher this season. Wilson would make an impact right away and it would be cool to see fellow Red Raider Jordyn Brooks and him play together
Detroit Lions at #6 – Could you imagine Aiden Hutchinson and Tyree Wilson as bookend DE for the next decade for the Lions. Its a luxury pick for them, but they need to focus on defense
Las Vegas Raiders at #7 – The Raiders could go a lot of way here, but They have Chandler Jones and Max Crosby, but Chandler is likely on the way out after 2023. Do the Raiders get ahead of the curve and get a young DE opposite of one of the best in the league in Crosby? The fit is no doubt there
Atlanta Falcons at #8 – This is simple for Atlanta, Atlanta has the lowest sack percentage (3.6%) and second-lowest QB pressure rate (22%) in the league one year after they finished last in both of those categories. Tyree would no doubt help
Chicago Bears at trade down – The Bears are likely to trade the 1st pick and if they do, I could see them landing at #4 where the Colts are and taking Tyree. They need to get help for Justin Fields, but they lacked any kind of pass rush. Get a haul for 1st overall and then they could draft Tyree wherever they land
