Nebraska’s offense was anything but consistent in the 2021 season. While there was improvement at many positions, Nebraska’s OL regressed, and that combined with poor play calling left the offense being more of a liability than a scoring machine. With Adrian Martinez transferring out, and starters Cam Jurgens, Austin Allen, and Samori Toure off to the NFL, there are a lot of new faces on the Nebraska offense. However, Nebraska’s 2022 offense should be vastly superior to the 2021 unit. WIth Mark Whipple, Mickey Joseph, Donovan Raiola, and Bryan Applewhite coming in as new coaches, development should no longer be a concern. Each of these assistant coaches is proven to be superior to the ones they replaced. Combine that with a lot of raw talent and incoming impact transfers, and Nebraska could have one of the Big Ten’s best offenses in 2022.
