Here’s a rundown of what I saw from week one across the college football landscape.
Two Big Ten teams suffered severe injuries as Michigan lost Ronnie Bell for the season to a knee injury and Minnesota lost Mo Ibrahim to a leg injury.
Iowa destroyed Indiana with the Hoosiers’ help.
Illinois lost to UTSA, while Wisconsin’s Graham Mertz literally threw the game away against Penn State.
I pick the team I believe is going to win the Big Ten West. Ugh.
I forgot to mention LSU – UCLA. It was…. not that surprising, honestly. The Pac-12 desperately needs someone to be good. I’m okay with UCLA being that team. LSU could be a team that benefited from a hot quarterback having a magic season, kind of like Gene Chizik and Cam Newton and their national title together at Auburn in 2010.
I also forgot to mention Washington losing to Montana.
