Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ streak of playoff appearances without a conference title game appearance now extends to 12, the longest in NFL history.
The 49ers added another field goal, and despite a final push from the Cowboys, led by quarterback Dak Prescott, the Dallas’ final drive did not progress beyond their own 30-yard line. The 49ers, as the second seed, will now travel to face the NFC’s top seed, the Philadelphia Eagles, in the quest for a spot in the Super Bowl.
