Tyler Davis returns to Clemson Tigers for senior year
There was plenty of speculation that Davis would enter the NFL Draft. After all, this is a fairly weak defensive tackle class and Davis looked like one of the nation’s best as a freshman. Unfortunately, he’s missed a lot of time over the past two years and must prove to scouts he’s capable of staying healthy.
Clemson has gotten extremely lucky with players returning along the defensive line. First year defensive coordinator is set up front with the potential starting lineup looking like Xavier Thomas (returning for fifth year), Davis, junior Bryan Bresee, and junior Myles Murphy. The Tigers are also returning rotational defensive end K.J. Henry for a fifth year, giving them one of the nation’s most imposing defensive fronts.
