Who are the greatest scorers in NBA History ? Certainly, this list includes some of the best offensive players playing right now, and potentially some of the top NBA players of all time.
The top scorers who are currently playing in the NBA are certainly among the overall top current NBA players, too (Kevin Durant , Carmelo Antohny , Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James come to mind immediately).
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar leads the NBA all-time in points scored with a total of 38,487. The closest active player is The King himself, Lebron James with 35, 367. If he can stay healthy, he likely surpasses Kareem as the all-time leading scorer in history.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played 20 seasons, Karl Malone in second played for 19 seasons, and Lebron James just finished up his 18th year in his career.
