To be clear, I love the people of Oakland (especially the die-hards in the right field bleachers who bang drums all game long and bring positive energy) but the stadium itself is a disaster. It’s no wonder why attendance at this place has hit rock bottom — and just wait for the rest of my videos from this trip. I have some additional cringeworthy footage coming soon.
Despite all my complaining, I had a really fun day. This was just the first game of a day/night doubleheader versus the Los Angeles Angels. Did Shohei Ohtani hit his 100th career home run? What did Mike Trout do? How did I manage to get a baseball in the upper deck? How annoying was stadium security? Who’s the funniest hot dog vendor in the league? How epic was the celebration after rookie Luis Barrera hit a walk-off home run? This day really did have it all — and Game 2 of the doubleheader will be a separate video with lots of surprises.
