Texas Tech Announces OL Coach Stephen Hamby Will Not Return in 2024

Hamby played at Texas Tech during the Mike Leach era (An offensive lineman with the Red Raiders from 2005-08)
According to reports, Hamby was terminated without cause
The LAJ is reporting, that Tech must pay him 70 percent of the remaining value of the deal in monthly installments, beginning a month from the termination date.
Hamby was set to make $330,000 for 2024 (2nd year of his deal). Year two of the contract started last week.
RC’s Take: The timing of it all was interesting, but it seems as though with the 2nd year of his contract starting this past week, Tech will have a reduced buyout.
