The 90-minute-long event will see Tom conduct separate 15-minute interviews with Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss, followed by questions to each from an audience of party members.
The hustings in Darlington are the fifth of a total of 12 through-out the campaign, and are intended for party members in the North East. They are the only hustings being held in a ‘Red Wall’ seat, won by the Tories from Labour at the 2019 general election.
