Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a first-person shooter video game by Ubisoft Montreal and to be published by Ubisoft. It was announced by Ubisoft on June 9, 2014 at E3. The game uses Ubisoft’s AnvilNext game engine. Considered as a successor to the now cancelled Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots, Siege puts heavy emphasis on environmental destruction and co-operation between players. However, the title has no campaign and only offers an online mode.
GAMEPLAY:
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a first-person tactical shooter, in which players take control of an operator from the Rainbow team, a counter-terrorist unit. Different operators have different nationalities, perks, abilities and equipment.
Players can only play as one of the classes in a match, and cannot be switched throughout. Powerful weapons, like grenades and breach charges are valuable, as their number are limited under the system.
Communications between players are also encouraged.
The game will also feature a co-operative mode, called Terrorist Hunt, which supports up to five different players. Players will take on the role of either attackers or defenders, and must fight against waves of enemies controlled by artificial intelligence. The game does not feature a single-player campaign, but features a single-player tutorial mode called Situations and the Terrorist Hunt mode supports solo play.
