It’s FINALLY time to ride the world famous Moab masterpiece they call Mag 7 to Portal. Can it really live up to the hype?
Abso-freakin-lutely. This is probably my favorite ride of all time now – EVEN WITH the 16 miles of semi-snoozefest leading up to the main event. My skills are finally perfectly aligned to have an amazing time on this wild ride.
Portal is rated a “Pro Line” on Trailforks, but that just seems to be from the two really silly spots where people try and die. One looks impossible, the other looks totally doable. We rode Rockstacker & Jackson’s the next day (which will be on the MTBING Adventures channel tomorrow) and the technical moves were much more intimidating and nasty than Gold Bar Rim + Portal.
