CHIANG MAI, THAILAND – Today we’re taking a drive up to Mon Jam, and specifically to a lodge called Baan Mon Muan (บ้านม่อนม่วน) that’s known for its beautiful scenery and delicious Thai restaurant. Along with a full menu of Thai food, they have a good selection of Thai vegetarian and plant based dishes.
On their menu they have some plant based dishes that they say you need to call two days in advance to have them cook. We called the day before and hoping they would have them, but unfortunately they didn’t when we arrived. I think the dishes are mainly seasonal. However, I did order the dishes they had available. The organic salad was wonderful, grown right on the side of the mountain. They other dishes were a little plain, but you could taste all the ingredients were fresh. With the help of some freshly diced chilies that made the food big on spice!
Overall, it’s a nice food experience in Chiang Mai and the mountain views are without a doubt spectacular.
