Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Football program have to be pleased with Jake Moody at kicker this season. Moody is 12/13 on field goal attempts and hasn’t missed an extra point. He’s the special teams MVP so far. Junior Colson takes home the top freshman award for Michigan at the midway point of the 2021 college football season. Colson has 20 tackles, 1 pbu and 1 fumble recovery so far this year. Other notable standouts include the Michigan offensive line, Daxton Hill and Cade McNamara. McNamara has been a solid game manager as Michigan rarely turns the ball over. We’ll see if freshman QB JJ McCarthy gets more playing time during the 2nd half of this season.
