Our region has been plagued by high winds and rains the past several days. This didn’t stop dedicated anglers from getting out in search of fish though. Before the wind, we had good reports of stripers along the South Shore while porgies kept boat fishermen busy in Peconic Bay and the North Shore. Bluefish are still trickling in and they have been scattered from the city to Montauk. Fluking post-storm has also picked up right where it left off, with fish being caught on both shores.
