Lou Holtz’s Reaction To Ohio State’s Loss To Michigan Is Going Viral

Ryan Day famously called out Lou Holtz for questioning his team’s toughness prior to Ohio State’s win against Notre Dame earlier this year.

But on Saturday, Ohio State was once again out-toughed by Michigan, as the Buckeyes fell to the Wolverines, 30-24, at The Big House.

Ohio State has now lost three straight to Michigan. The Buckeyes fell to 11-1 on the season with the loss.

Following the game, former Notre Dame head coach Lou Holtz reacted to the game.

“Losing to Michigan three years in a row is not good,” Holtz said. “What a long ride home that must be. They aren’t real happy. 3 years in a row we have lost to the University of Michigan.”

He continued.

“We played Michigan under the same circumstances,” Holtz said. “The winner goes to the Rose Bowl, the winner has a chance to win the national championship. Fortunately, we were the ones that were able to do it. We scored late in the game against Michigan and went for 2, made it, beat ’em 50-14. They asked Woody why he went for 2 and he said because we couldn’t go for 3.”

Michigan is off to the Big Ten Championship Game, where they will face Iowa.
