Automating Plugins in Pro Tools to make Insane Vocals/Vocal Sounds. With some elbow grease you can make the plugins and effects in pro-tools be as important to making your music as the instruments. I especially love the more simple Waves plugins, like Soundshifter, it’s delightfully straightforward allowing your imagination to really steer the song.
This EP is a special one for me, it combines a lot of my favorite things in music as well as themes from my favorite literature, shows and films… Though this video sticks to talking about the musical parts. Musical parts, like a love of Glitch and Glitchy sound effects and Glitchy vocals. One thing I love about this approach to glitchy sounds is that it’s not very chop based, a well timed pitch bend, mute, distortion and other effects can make a world of difference… especially if you do them all at once! And that’s where automation comes in. These at first were just some Automation Tricks I knew but overtime they’ve evolved into my own style, which while I find it very tedious and time consuming I also find it very rewarding.
