Fehoko is a second cousin of Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Vita Vea. After his honorable mention All-San Francisco Metro senior season at Saint Francis High School, Fehoko redshirted his first year with the Spartans, playing in four contests as a reserve (five tackles). Fehoko started 11 of 12 games played the following season (44 tackles, three for loss with one sack, four pass breakups). He broke out in 2020, garnering first-team All-Mountain West notice with a team-high 12.5 tackles for loss and six sacks among 36 total stops in eight starts. He again earned the honor in 2021 after leading the team with 12.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks (among 36 total tackles) and three forced fumbles in 12 starts. Fehoko stepped up his game again in 2022, being named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year and earning his third first-team nod by accumulating 19 tackles for loss (tying for sixth in the FBS), nine sacks, 69 tackles and two forced fumbles in 12 starts.
