World No.6 Coco Gauff clinched her 8th career title on the Hologic WTA Tour after defeating US Open semifinalist Karolina Muchova in the Beijing final!
The 20-year-old is the second American champion in the Chinese capital, following Serena Williams’ title runs in 2004 and 2013, as well as the youngest China Open champion in 14 years (Caroline Wozniacki, 20).
Gauff fought off Clara Burel, Katie Boulter, Naomi Osaka, Yuliia Starodubtseva, and Paula Badosa en route to the final.
She is also the first woman in the Open Era to win her first seven WTA hard-court finals.
