Brent Venables leaves Clemson for Oklahoma
Clemson’s beloved defensive coordinator is returning to the program he spent over a decade with in the early 2000s. Venables has been with the Tigers for most of the past decade and was recognized as the nation’s best assistant coach in the past. Now, he’s finally getting a shot as a head coach at the school where he served under Bob Stoops for an extended period.
The Tigers must now find a way to replace one of the best coordinators in all of college football. It won’t be easy, especially considering the number of players that could leave Clemson for the 2022 NFL Draft. Dabo Swinney has his work cut out for him in the offseason.
