Highland Scotties make a return to LSU for week 4 of the college football season and face both the Tigers and a former OC Allen Lawrence, who now the head coach of the Tigers.
LSU lost last week against NC State, losing in a close one 49-42. NC State was crazy stupid in the first quarter allow, scoring 21 points. LSU didn’t score their points until the 2nd quarter score 21 also but NC State scored another 14 to take the lead at the half 35-21. Second wasn’t any better for LSU as the only scored 21 in the half, but able to slow down NC State to only 14 points for the half but couldn’t make the push for another scored before NC State defense had a shut down party on the Tigers.
LSU is the better overall team but only in the areas of rushing offense, pass defense and turnovers. We are the favorites by many in college football but LSU has a young man by the name of Brandon Page, last week against NC State, he rushing for 15 carries, 89 yds, a TD, plus 4 catches for 43 yds and a passing TD. Page talked about being a Heisman trophy winner this year possibly.
Speaking of the Heisman, so is Jasper Reid, our QB for the Scotties. Reid last week was 17 for 25, with 308 yards and 3 TDs but an INT near the end of the game. Reid and company need to be focus and ready for this defense of what they can throw at him. This is the final non-conference game of the season before heading into Big 12 play.
