Take a behind the scenes look at what goes into filming an amateur backcountry snowboarding movie. During February 2023 the Factotum Cinema crew loaded up the sleds and drove 30 miles into the backcountry to a little off grid cabin. We spent a week stationed out of this tiny cabin scouting zones, building jumps and destroying snowmobiles.
This being our second second season on the snowmobiles filming for a snowboard movie you would think we would have the process figured out but we don’t. Between getting the snowmobiles stuck, crashing them into trees, and consistent carnage on the snowboards we are far from a well oiled machine. Although we are such a Sh%$ show we still came out of this week with a good bit of footage for the film and lots of memories with the crew.
