Heavy rain will sweep up the East Coast later Thursday into Friday. Cold air will come rushing in as a cold front sweeps to the east Friday bringing rapidly dropping temperatures and the risk of a flash freeze in parts of the Northeast. Bitter cold air will sweep southward into the Ohio Valley and Deep South while it turns very cold in the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic for the Christmas holiday weekend. We will look ahead to the last week of 2022.
