Bluegrass Gospel Competition
A bluegrass gospel competition, sponsored by Middle Cross Baptist Church, will be held Saturday, May 4, at West End Elementary School, 4483 N.C. 211.
Registration is from 5 to 7 p.m., with the competition beginning at 7 p.m. J.J. Moore is the master of ceremonies, and sound is provided by Mike Marion. Admission is $5 for ages 12 and up.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the following categories: band, fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, singer, bass fiddle, dobro, miscellaneous and most promising talent 15 and under.
Concessions will be available.
